ABARTH Punto Super Sport

ABARTH Punto “SUPER SPORT” – at last, the Abarth Punto has the look to match the performance. Acknowledged as one of the very best hot hatch cars of its generation the Abarth Punto Evo has had an aggressive make-over that gives it the style and leaves nobody in doubt of its intention to be the car to be seen in this season.

More punch, more style and more performance – the Abarth Punto Super Sport is a real driver’s car, derived from the Abarth Punto S2000 driven by Luca Rossetti to win the 2010 ERC European Rally Championship; the Super Sport Punto from Abarth is the hot hatch benchmark.

You really have to test drive one to appreciate it, sharp and controllable brakes, taught and focussed suspension and a torquey powerful engine that allows you to feel the road and get the best from you and the car so you can enjoy the driving experience… this is more than a ‘pocket rocket’ with hard, spine-jarring suspension and a peaky, revvy engine that requires a gear change every two seconds; this is a true performance car in a compact package.

The Abarth engineers in Turin have developed a car ‘built for purpose’ – ticking all the boxes for a driver who knows what they want in a car. Abarth has always been about being different… and the Abarth Punto Super Sport takes this to a new level.

Along with the 500C Italia and the 695 Competizione, Abarth is debuting the aggressive hot hatch Punto SuperSport in Frankfurt in September – and it looks fabulous with the EsseEsse kit, black 18″ alloys, red brake callipers and a special matte black paintwork on the bonnet and roof.

The Abarth Punto SuperSport is powered by the 1.4 Multiair engine developing 180HP at 5,750rpm and with an impressive 270Nm of maximum torque at 2,500rpm. 0 to 100kph in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 216kph. Modified and lowered suspension, perforated and self-ventilated front disc brakes, front and rear Koni shock absorbers with FSD (Frequency Selective Dumping) valve and a big exhaust is a recipe for performance on a menu of driving pleasure!

Interior; the Punto SuperSport features “Abarth Corsa by Sabelt” black leather seats with red and yellow stitchings and Blue&Me MAP satellite navigation. The interior is adorned with SuperSport and Abarth graphics and the stitched leather steering wheel is complimented by the Jaeger driving instruments.
