Meet the new Abarth 500C Cabrio Italia. It brings more Italian style and flair to the hugely popular Abarth range with new features inside and out.
This is a new special edition model, unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, designed and built to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italian unity. There will only be 150 units made; each featuring a commemorative, satin-effect “500 Cabrio Italia” plate.
The Abarth 500c Cabrio Italia is painted in Blu Abu Dhabi livery (same colour you will find on a Ferrari 458 so you could have a matching set?) combined with an electrically operated black top and tinted rear windows. There are little touches of design genius such as the 10-spoke 17″ rims with diamond effect and yellow Brembo front brake calipers.
Inside; ”Abarth Corsa by Sabelt” seats in natural leather with carbon fibre backrests, double-stitched black leather steering wheel, Alutex aluminum pedals and matching gear lever knob. Carbon fiber running board with “Cabrio Italia” insignia add another detail. The Abarth 500c Cabrio Italia comes with the Abarth Blue&MeTM MAP satellite navigation system. And the performance? - 160 HP. This allows the Abarth 500c Cabrio Italia to get from 0 to 60 mph in 7.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 131 mph… now we’re talking performance that generates a smile inside.
Designed to the same levels of safety as the other high performance cars in the range there’s a class-leading seven airbags as standard including one for the driver’s knees. Added to this you will find Xenon headlights – with washers – delivering three times the light of traditional halogens. Abarth 500C range comes with a powerful entertainment system featuring radio/CD/MP3-player and Blue&Me hands-free system with voice activation and steering wheel controls and there are four 40W speakers, two 30W tweeters and a digital file reader with USB port so that you can play your favourite sounds in style.
